Before The Chaos (11/10)

3 minutes to dominate your week

In partnership with

Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. We are here every Monday morning to help prepare you Before The Chaos!

Embrace differences.

Often times we paint a certain picture of others because they are different from us.

They dress differently, speak differently, look different, or even think differently. We’re naturally attracted towards similarities. It provides us comfort, validation, and allows us to relate to people easier.

But what about the differences? The characteristics that make each person unique. Embracing those is what allows us to grow as humans. It’s important to expand beyond what’s always been familiar to us.

Reflection

“Who are people I am close with that are different from me?”

“When are times that I find myself gravitating towards similarities and not differences?”

Take Action Task

Write down or say one thing that makes you different.

Act of Altruism

Pray for a friend or family member in need.

VERSE

Galatians 3:28

“There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus”.

Closing

Always have an open mind. Develop relationships with people that are different from you so you can expand your mind and grow. Embrace difference with open arms. You never know what you might learn about yourself through others.
