Unbecoming what you are not.

What if the goal of life isn’t about continuously trying to become someone that you are not, but unbecoming everything that was never truly you?

I’m not saying this is definitively how life works. But there’s a real possibility that much of our struggle comes from trying to maintain versions of ourselves that were built for other people. Expectations we adopted, rules we were given, paths that were groomed for us.

Maybe peace isn’t found in adding more but in quietly peeling back the layers that feel forced. Before the day begins, consider what parts of yourself feel natural and what parts feel forced.

Reflection

Who am I trying to impress with the way I’m living right now?

What parts of my life feel authentic, and what parts feel performed?

Take Action Task

Drop one small performance today. Make a choice based purely on what feels true to you.

Act of Altruism

Encourage someone to trust their own instincts. A simple “I respect how you’re doing that your way” can cause so much joy in their life.
