Before The Chaos (3/16)

3 minutes to dominate your week

Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. We are here every Monday morning to help prepare you Before The Chaos!

Take a step back.

Modern life quietly persuades us that existence unfolds on a universal schedule. Education by a certain age, career stability by another, family, financial security, recognition — all arranged like milestones on an invisible timeline we are expected to follow.

But life isn’t a race with a set timeline. Many people navigate uncertainty and quiet progress that goes unnoticed. Simply continuing to try, learn, and show up, even without knowing the next step, means you’re doing better than you realize.

Reflection

“Am I evaluating my life by visible milestones rather than meaningful growth?”

“What expectations am I carrying that may not actually belong to me?”

Take Action Task

Go look into the mirror and tell yourself you are loved.

Act of Altruism

Set one goal that must be completed before week’s end.

Ours is to tell someone close to us that we hope they’re doing well.

VERSE

Ecclesiastes 3:1

“There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under the heavens.”

Closing

Life is not measured by speed — it’s shaped by growth. Much of the most important progress happens quietly, long before anyone else can see it. Keep going; you might be doing far better than you realize.

Have a blessed day,

Brett & Michael
