Before The Chaos (4/14)

3 minutes to dominate your week

In partnership with

Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. We are here every Monday morning to help prepare you Before The Chaos!

As we mentioned in our last letter, we want to change things up. We hope you enjoy the evolution of this platform.

The Discipline Paradox

Most people view discipline as a punishment. They see it as a grind — waking up early, saying no to distractions, pushing through workouts or other work when every part of them wants to quit. They say it feels exhausting or joyless in the moment. So, they avoid it. They choose comfort instead.

Don’t be like those people.

Be the person who chooses discipline. The person who consistently takes the hard path head on. The person who gets out of bed when they know they can sleep another hour or two. Because when you choose the hard path today, your tomorrow because easier and lighter. You train yourself to do what needs doing. Your habits become automatic. All the sudden decisions get simpler, guilt fades. Your confidence grows because you prove to yourself, day after day, that you’re someone who follows through. You don’t back down from challenges.

The compound effect is real. Practice discipline today. Think of things you need to work on. Don’t let the thought come to your head and push it off. Everyone loves to push things to tomorrow, but tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.

Have a blessed day,

Brett & Michael
