Before The Chaos (4/14)

3 minutes to dominate your week

Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. We are here every Monday morning to help prepare you Before The Chaos!

Respond.

Don’t react, respond.

Life slaps us all in the face, and when we get slapped in the face, we tend to react uncharacteristically. We may react with anger, aggression, or even ignorance. Reacting tends to dig an even deeper hole. We must all learn the art of responding.

When we respond instead of react, we make deliberate decisions that reflect our best selves. These are the moments that move us forward. We learn from adversity, meet it with resilience, and grow wiser through the process.

Reflection

“What have I recently reacted to emotion, and created more harm than good?”

“Who can I turn to for advice in times of adversity?”

Your Weekly Healthy Habit

Do something just for you everyday this week. (A walk, sauna, book, face-mask, etc.)

One Achievable Goal

Set one goal that must be completed before week’s end.

Tidy up your home this week, the best you ever have.

VERSE

Proverbs 29:11

“A fool gives full vent to his spirit, but a wise man quietly holds back.”

Closing

Remember, our most valuable lessons often come during life’s hardest moments. Without hardship, we wouldn’t fully appreciate the beauty of the good times. Whatever challenge you’re facing, trust that it will pass - and that with resilience, you’ll emerge stronger. You have the power to overcome and achieve incredible things.
