Before The Chaos (5/3)
3 minutes to dominate your week
Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. We are here every Monday morning to help prepare you Before The Chaos! Congrats to all the NYC Marathon runners!

The Weight of Words
I’ve been thinking a lot about how much power words actually have.
The things we say to others, and to ourselves ,shape everything. They build people up, they tear them down, they define how we see the world. They also affect our own mood and confidence – speaking life into existence is real.
It’s wild how one text, one sentence, or one comment can change the tone of an entire day. Sometimes I catch myself saying things just to fill silence, and later I realize how unnecessary it was. Lately, I’ve been trying to pause before I speak, to make sure what I say adds something positive to myself, and to those around me.”
It’s not about being perfect. It’s about being intentional.

Reflection
“How do the words I speak affect my own confidence? Can I build myself up more to others?”
“How can I avoid falling into the same traps over and over, and truly focus on what makes me happy?”
Take Action Task
Pick one person in your life and make it a point to speak life into them.
Send them a message, call them, or look them in the eye and say something real, not generic, something they’ll remember.
Act of Altruism
Do something kind this week that no one will ever know about.
Pay for someone’s coffee, hold the door, leave a note, or send a quiet gift.
VERSE
Proverbs 18:21
“The tongue has the power of life and death, and those who love it will eat its fruit.”
Closing
Every word is energy. Put out good energy, and it finds its way back.
Be intentional with what you say, to others and to yourself. The smallest words often carry the most weight.
