Before The Chaos (7/14)
3 minutes to dominate your week
Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. We are here every Monday morning to help prepare you Before The Chaos!

When are you going to arrive?
Often times we tell ourselves that life is what happens while we are making other plans.
“Well, ok, once I’ve got this done THEN my life will begin.”
“Once I pass this exam or buy this house THEN my life will begin.”
No. We constantly get caught up in thinking that we have to obtain or do certain things before our life has “officially” begun. What about just living in the moment? Stop telling yourself that you need to accomplish X, Y, and Z before you can become fulfilled.
Reflection
“What is something that I am caught up in acquiring or achieving that’s hindering me?”
“How can I better focus my attention on what’s going on around me in my life each day?”
Take Action Task
Do a 5-minute mindful breathing exercise today. This will help divert your attention away from any distracting thoughts or anxieties. Be present.
One Achievable Goal
Set one goal that must be completed before week’s end.
Ours is to acknowledge times this week where we catch ourselves strung up on things we think we need to attain before our life changes.
VERSE
Philippians 4:13
“I can do all things through him who strengthens me.”
Closing
When are you going to feel like you’ve actually arrived at life? By the time you accomplish all the things that you thought were necessary to live a fulfilling life, you might look back and wish you spent more time living in the moment.
