Before The Chaos (9/30)
3 minutes to dominate your week
Good morning from close friends Brett Hobbs and Michael Barone. Over the past year, we have incorporated a few simple techniques into our lives that have positively impacted our health, relationships, and careers. Although we are not experts, we thought we would share what has helped us so much, with you. Keep an eye out for our weekly Monday morning letter to help prepare you Before The Chaos. Please share!
Through the Nose, Out the Mouth
Close your eyes and take 30 seconds to think about the ones you love - deceased and alive. These are the ones that you continue fighting for.
Confidence Dose
Life can feel overwhelming at times. We tell you this not to dismiss the difficulties you’re facing but to let you know that you are not alone.
Please keep your dreams alive. It is important to understand that in order to achieve something, you must have full faith and belief in yourself. Every worthwhile accomplishment, big or small, has three stages: a beginning, a struggle, and a victory. Find beauty in the struggle, as without struggle, victory would be worthless. Your dreams make a difference in this world. Pursue them.
Reflection
“What is something I did not accomplish last week that I will accomplish this week?”
“How do I focus on recharging after a long day?”
Your Weekly Healthy Habit
Smile as soon as you wake up in the morning and hold it for five seconds. This is a proven technique to help release endorphins. Life is a beautiful treat.
One Achievable Goal
Set one goal that must be completed before week’s end.
Recommendations:
Call your Mom and tell her you love her
Thank a friend or coworker for their help recently
Buy a gift for yourself. You deserve it.
Write us back the goal that you intend to achieve. Hold yourself accountable. People have a higher likelihood of achieving their goals when they tell others.
VERSE
Isaiah 43:2
“When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and through the rivers, they shall not overwhelm you; when you walk through fire you shall not be burned, and the flame shall not consume you”
Closing
The toughest stage of any endeavor is the commencement. Do not allow the thoughts and perceptions of others to hold you back. You will unlock your full potential once you get over this hurdle.
Have a blessed day,
Brett & Michael
